Writing can be a lonely endeavor…but it’s also a business if you want to be traditionally published, so the more you know about the submission process, the more chance you have for getting your story to the bookstore bookshelf. Emma Walton Hamilton and Julie Hedlund have created an absolutely invaluable resource, The Complete Picture Book Submission System, for aspiring writers. They provide 7 Modules on critical topics that help a writer submit their work in effective ways to agents, editors and publishers. I learned things I didn’t even know I needed to know. One aspect of all the Modules that I REALLY appreciate is the opportunity to experience the information in a variety of ways (videos and downloadable transcripts and slides)…so helpful! The opportunity for direct feedback from Emma and Julie on a weekly basis during Office Hours in the private Facebook group is a wonderful support. Their feedback is prompt, honest and thorough. Thank you, Emma and Julie, for your expertise and the comfortable and supportive community you have created. I am inspired and don’t feel alone anymore.
